Ferrite Magnets have the widest magnetic field of all magnets and good resistance to corrosion. Despite being a rather brittle magnet, Ferrites are used in a variety of applications such as motors, water conditioning, speakers, reed switches, crafts and magnetic therapies. Due to the method used to create them, hard ferrite magnets are sometimes referred to as ceramic magnets. Iron oxide with strontium or barium ferrites are used primarily in ferrite magnet production. Both isotropic and anisotropic varieties of hard ferrite (ceramic) magnets are manufactured. Magnets of the isotropic kind may be magnetized in any direction and are manufactured without orientation. While being created, anisotropic magnets are subjected to an electromagnetic field in order to increase their magnetic energy and characteristics. This is accomplished by squeezing dry particles or slurry, with or without orientation, into a desired die cavity. Sintering is the process of subjecting the pieces to a high temperature after compaction into the dies.Ferrite magnets are widely used in the automotive sector, electric motors (DC, brushless, and others), magnetic separators (mostly plates), household appliances, and other applications. Permanent Motor Rotor Magnets with Segment Ferrite.1. Strong coercivity (= high resistance to demagnetization of the magnet). 2. Highly stable in harsh environmental conditions, with no requirement for a protective covering. 3. High oxidation resistance. 4. Longevity - the magnet is steady and consistent.
