Neodymium arc magnets, or neodymium segment magnets, can be seen as a part of neodymium ring magnets or neodymium disc magnets. They are made of high-quality neodymium magnets containing the elements neodymium, iron, and boron. NdFeB magnets are permanent magnets and the most widely used type of rare earth magnets. Arc segment or tile magnets are commonly used in voice coil motor, permanent magnet motors, generators, wind turbines, torque couplings, and other applications. Arc magnets are a unique shape which are designed especially for motors, generators and alternators and are commonly used for both rotors and stators. They are also used in magnetic flywheel assemblies. Since neodymium magnets N35,N36,N42,N45, 50 & N52 are much stronger than other magnets, using strong neodymium magnets can build much more powerful motors and generators assemblies. In motor design a ring of magnets with alternating polarities on the inner radius rotate in close proximity to a number of copper coils. As the copper passes through the magnetic fields an electric current is induced within the copper. Four or more magnets with an equal number of north and south polarity on the inner radius can be used to create a multi-pole ring. All arc magnets are available with either pole on the inner radius.
