Alnico Channel Magnets for Magnetic Separation

AlNiCo Magnet is one of the earliest developed permanent magnet materials and is an alloy of aluminum, nickel,  cobalt,  iron and other trace metals. Alnico Magnets have high coercivity and high Curie temperature. Alnico alloys are hard and brittle, cannot be cold work, and must be made by a casting or sintering process.

Alnico magnets are renowned for their high remanence, low coercitivity, and temperature stability. The properties for each grade at room temperature are listed in Tables 1 and 2. Furthermore, additional information such as demagnetization curves for different temperatures is available for download in the datasheets. Table 3 outlines the general characteristics of Alnico magnets. Figure 2 illustrates the temperature stability, depicting the demagnetization curves of Alnico 5 grade from -180 C to +300 C. This figure demonstrates how the output of the magnet remains constant when the working point is near BHmax over a large temperature range.

The physical properties of Alnico magnets are presented in Table 3. It should be noted that these values should not be considered as guaranteed, as they are not monitored during the manufacturing process.

Surface Treatment: Alnico magnets typically do not need any protection from corrosion and can be used without a coating. However, some applications may require a smooth surface, and in these cases, a protective coating can be applied.

Notes:

The corrosion resistance of these coverings fluctuates depending on the form of magnets, such as chamfers and inner rings, in diverse surroundings.

Alnico Channel Magnets - The Efficient Solution for Magnetic Separation For any magnetic separation application that involves handling and separating metal particles, Alnico Channel Magnets are a reliable and efficient solution. These magnets, made of a special alloy of aluminum, nickel, and cobalt, offer high magnetic strength and a unique channel design, making them ideal for a wide range of industrial and scientific applications. At their core, Alnico Channel Magnets are designed to create a strong and uniform magnetic field that can attract and hold metal particles as they pass through the channel. The channel design allows for efficient and continuous separation of metal particles, without clogging or slowing down the process. Whether you're separating metal contaminants from food, chemicals, or powders, Alnico Channel Magnets offer a cost-effective and reliable solution. One of the main advantages of Alnico Channel Magnets is their high resistance to demagnetization. With a high coercivity and a high Curie temperature, these magnets can maintain their magnetic strength even in harsh environments or under repeated use. Additionally, Alnico Channel Magnets have a long service life and require minimal maintenance, making them a valuable investment for any magnetic separation process. At Honson Magnetics, we offer a range of Alnico Channel Magnets in various sizes and strengths to fit your specific magnetic separation needs. Our magnets are designed to be easy to install and use, with a smooth and polished surface that prevents contamination and wear. Contact us today to learn more about Alnico Channel Magnets and how they can enhance your magnetic separation process with their high magnetic strength, efficiency, and durability.
